Problem: How is the pin pad IP address set in SmartPOS?
Solution:
- Get the IP address of the pin pad (see related solutions at the bottom of this article).
- In SmartPOS, go to the General Information screen.
- Go to the System Settings tab.
- Enter the pin pad's IP address into the appropriate section.
- If the time zone has not been set, it will not save. Enter the time zone information if it is empty (versions before 2.0 only).
- Click Save.
Note: If the time zone needed changed, the system will prompt to restart. Let it restart. - If the time zone did not need changed, go back to the General Information tab and click Refresh.
Note: If no pin pad is attached, the address should be empty or set to all zeros.
