Question: How are items categorized on the Stock Movement report and what classifies an item as dead, slow, normal, or fast-moving?
Answer:
A performance level is sales divided by on-hand. If items show up on the dead items list but do not have a performance %, it is because sales = 0, so if 0/on hand is divided, it will still be zero so it will not display.

Items are divided into groups according to the following rules:
  1. Dead items are items with a performance level < or = 0.05.
  2. Slow items are items with a performance level < 0.5.
  3. Normal items are items with a performance level < 1.5.
  4. Fast-moving items are items with a performance level > 1.5.
