Defective DC401 requires replacement
After thorough investigation of the VPN Link Down issue observed it is believed that this DC401 is experiencing hardware malfunctions that cannot be rectified by any software changes. We require that this site be scheduled for a re-visit with a new DC401, activated to the latest image provided to your team.

When conducting a DC401 replacement, the activation key provided initially will still be valid. The process for replacing a DC401 is the same process as initialed executed during deployments. The only difference is that the site POS will not need configured again for Petrosoft user or share folders – as these are still operational.

The technician must still follow the process prescribed in the DC401 install playbook.
  1. Connect new DC401 in the same manner the current one is wired.
  2. Use a monitor and keyboard to use the console utility to set the DC401 static so that it can access the cloud.
  3. Activate the DC401 using the same key initially provided to the site for deployment.
Once a new device has been activated, have the retailer confirm that the VPN Link Down globe error has cleared. Let Petrosoft support team know immediately when this is completed and do not leave the site until it is confirmed that the Globe error has cleared. If any issues arise during this process, the Petrosoft support team is ready and available to assist in getting the site operational with CSO again.
