Question: How is the MC 9090 scanner reset to factory defaults?

Answer:
This procedure would be very helpful if you got lost during setup and need to set everything to default. Please note that this will erase all information on the scanner.
You will need to download a file form CSO. Unzip it to the PC and move the file to the handheld PC using a CF card, wireless, or via active sync. Then run the file on the scanner.

1. Download the file from http://plone.petrosoftinc.com/documentation/mobile-assistant-setup-files/9090XCLEANBOOTANDBLANK.zip.
2. Unzip this file to a folder.
   Note: You should have five files.
3. Move those files to the /My Device/Temp directory of the Handheld scanner.
4. On the Handheld scanner, click on the Windows icon (top right corner of the screen).
5. Click Programs from the drop-down menu.
6. Double click File Explorer.
7. At the top right corner below the Windows icon click Current Directory.
8. Click My Device.
9. Double click Temp Directory.
10. Run StartUpdLdr.
    Note: This should take 10 minutes and will reset the scanner to defaults.
11. Click Done.
