Question: How to initialize promotions and remove old promotions on a Passport register?

Answer:

Problem: Promotions on the register do not match cstore. Either old promotions were not removed when ended in cstore, the register has old promotions from before they had cstore, or promotions simply are not working and a price book push is not working. In circumstances like this, the promotions will have to be initialized.

Initializing promotions

From the C-Store Office home page go to Data Entry > Dashboard.
Under Station Options click Cash Register settings for the store.
Select Upload Full Items Price Book..
Select Download CR Update Files at the bottom.
Open and extract the contents of the zip file.
Move the ILT and the MMT files onto your desktop.
Open the files in Notepad and change the very first Update you see on the Table Action line to Initialize. Should be line 9.
Close the files and save.
Open up the passport file. Share in a new windows (\\10.249.X.X). Copy those two files into the \\10.249.X.X\XMLGateway\BOInBox folder, ILT file first.
Wait for them to disappear.
After 5 minutes, test the promotions

Note: This only works with the Mix and Match promotions. If the promotions are Price Modifers, those will appear in the ITT file, with the rest of the price book items. And if the promotions are Price Each Mix, there will be a CET file. The rest of the procedure is still the same.
