Question: How to do a price override in SmartPOS?
Answer:
Items in SmartPOS may require a price override if they come up incorrectly. If the price of an item comes up incorrectly due to the wrong price being entered by scanning or by manual entry, the price of the item can be overridden.
  1. Before the sale has been tendered, on the left-hand side of the Sales screen, select the item that requires a price override.
  2. Tap Price Override (lower left-hand side of the screen).
  3. Enter the desired price.
Note: A price of one (1) cent or greater must be entered.
  4. Tap Price Override again.
Note: This finalizes the new price. This action does a price override for the current sale as does not permanently affect the actual price as set in the price book or the system from this point on.
  5. Repeat this process as needed.
Deleting an item:
  1. Select an item from the list of items on the left-hand side of the screen.
  2. Tap the minus (-) sign.
Note: A price override greater than a certain dollar amount or over by a percentage will have to be approved by a manager or user with managerial permissions in the system.
