Question: When I transfer inventory out of my store, does it deduct from my inventory immediately?
Answer:
The inventory transfer (also called "Merchandise Addition transfer" or "MA Transfer") quantities will be deducted from the sending station's inventory only after the receiving station has accepted their pending invoice.
Once the receiving store accepts that invoice, the transfer is considered complete and the book inventory on the sending station is reduced. Only then you will have no shortage on these items during an inventory count.
If you make a MA transfer and it's still sitting in pending invoices, Store Inventory report (which shows dead items, etc.) will NOT show these items on your inventory anymore. It helps you to work with dead stock by making multiple transfers at a time and recalculating the results.
