Yes, it is done through Units in Case on the item setup form.
For example, if a UPC is assigned to Kit Kat candy bars inside a box, and it is different than the UPC on the outside of the box, the units in case would be the count of the items in the box.
The Kit Kat candy bars could be sold individually (this is also common with soda). If there is no UPC assigned to the individual candy bars on the inside of the box, a PLU can be assigned.
However, if the outside of a box is the only thing marked with a UPC, it would be a unit in case of one. This means the entire box would be sold as one unit.
